In case you don't recognize the title of this blog, it is from the 1960's TV show "The Outer Limits" which was redone in the 1990s. The concept was that we, the viewers, were under the mind control of the TV. The last debate showed the power of mind control: who understood how to use it and who didn't.

McCain is good man with a record of service, but he doesn't understand mind control. Obama does.

Obama's main mind trick from the debate was to create guilt. When McCain would point out something negative about Obama or his positions, Obama would counter with a reference to a higher purpose, such as fixing the economy, health care, etc. People cannot help being led by mind control, even against their own best interests.

Obama's understanding of mind control combined with a coherent message and a sticky catchword (change) has, in this blogger's mind, won him the election.

In the world of youtube, every promise and comment made by Obama will be stored on hard drives, ready for review in 4 years. Hard core democrats will excuse imperfection and hard core republicans wll explain away any successes.

Those of us in the middle, those who swing elections, control the vertical. Caveat emptor.
